"TÜV AUSTRIA carries out these audits of quality management systems at manufacturers of ATEX products (“manufacturing site surveillance”)."

Monitoring the quality assurance system of production facilities for ATEX devices

Monitoring of the quality assurance system of manufacturing sites for ATEX equipment according to 2014/34/EU, Annex IV or Annex VII is mandatory as part of the conformity assessment procedure for some ATEX products.

TÜV AUSTRIA carries out these audits of quality management systems at manufacturers of ATEX products (“manufacturing site surveillance”).

The audits usually require a certificate of an already existing QM system according to ISO 9001 at the manufacturer. The additional ATEX-specific requirements are audited in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 80079-34.
