Elevator initial approval: Authorizations
The authorization to carry out type examinations, production and assembly monitoring includes the following assemblies:
- Safety gear
- Locking devices for landing doors
- Overspeed governor
- Buffers
- Electrical safety circuits
- Hydraulic safety components
- Remote monitoring systems
- and complete elevator systems
In addition, there are a number of authorizations as an approved inspection body, which are particularly relevant during the operation of a system, such as Sound insulation tests, measurement of weight and traction and much more.
Recently, assessments of the quality management systems of installation and manufacturing companies have also been carried out in accordance with the modular concept of the EU Lifts Directive, implemented in Austria by the Lifts Safety Ordinance ASV 2015. By checking the internal QM systems, compliance with the applicable regulations, directives and standards is already ensured during the manufacturing or assembly phase.
