Our services
Optimum support for all aspects of the development and testing of vehicle parts and complete vehicles: TÜV AUSTRIA is not only your first choice when it comes to the approval of vehicle parts and whole vehicles. We also support you with specialised personnel for tests, e.g. as development support, for series monitoring and CoP measurement (with an existing approval), for your internal quality assurance or generally as an independent third party.
Test tracks
For vehicle testing, we have access to a wide variety of test tracks as required:
- Own TÜV AUSTRIA test track in Pferdsfeld in co-operation with TRIWO Automotive Testing GmbH (Germany, near Frankfurt)
- Access to the TRIWO test centre (see https://www.triwo-testcenter.de/)
- Engineering Center Steyr in St. Valentin (Austria, near Linz)
- ZalaZONE (Hungary, see here)
- Various test tracks in Turkey, China, etc. available on request.
For testing prototypes or test vehicles on proving grounds, our test engineers have the necessary driving training (e.g. FT1) and correspondingly extensive experience and testing practice.
Range of services
Our range of services includes the approval of vehicles and vehicle parts:
- Discussions with experts to adapt the development and design to the legal requirements
- Component testing and handling of approval procedures
- Support in providing evidence of compliance with all EC regulations, including through our own tests
- Expert opinions for obtaining ECE type approval and ECE partial type approval for technical assemblies; for example Teiletypgenehmigung (TTG), general type approval (ABE), parts certificate (TG), ECE certificate, …
We work to the highest quality standards and are accredited in accordance with various norms and the designations of a wide range of approval authorities:
- Designation by the German Kraftfahrtbundesamt (KBA)
- Designation by the Irish approval authority National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI)
- Designation by the Luxembourg approval authority Société Nationale de Certification et d’Homologation (S.N.C.H.)
