“We create building records for you using Excel, so you don’t need any additional software”
The framework for creating building records was established as early as 2014 by the Vienna Building Code, with a focus on new construction, additions, and renovations. With the changes introduced by the 2023 amendment to the Vienna Building Code, the requirement to create a building logbook has been extended to existing, older structures!
Responsibility for creating the logbook lies with the building applicant, the construction manager, and the owner or property management company. The contents of the building logbook are supplemented with necessary information regarding structural damage, a plan for its repair, and a list of changes made. According to the GWR Act, the creation of the building log must be confirmed in the database. For buildings constructed before 1919, this requirement must be fulfilled by December 31, 2027; for all buildings constructed between January 1, 1919, and January 1, 1945, the deadline is December 31, 2030. The experts at TÜV AUSTRIA in the Building Technology team will assist you with the preparation and submission so that you can continue to refer to your existing property/building in a legally compliant manner.
