Support in completing the CDP ESG Rating questionnaire
The CDP rating is an ESG rating developed by the non-profit organisation Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) to assess the environmental impact of organisations.
It consists of four programmes, associated with four questionnaires on the following topics: the climate change, the water safety, the forests and the supply chain.
The CDP ESG rating is obtained by filling in the CDP questionnaires, which collect detailed data on sustainability strategies and performance. The answers provided are analysed and evaluated by CDP, which publishes a report with a score, the CDP score.
Thanks to our expertise in ESG, we can support you in completion of CDP questionnaires, in the proper disclosure of your company’s ESG data, and in obtaining the CDP ESG rating.
The advantages of obtaining the CDP Rating
By filling out the CDP questionnaires and obtaining the CDP rating, companies make a transparent choice regarding their environmental performance.
This offers numerous strategic advantages:
Attraction of investments
Environmental Performance increasingly represent a central criterion for investors’ decisions. Filling out a CDP questionnaire and obtaining good scores helps to attract ESG-sensitive investors (Environmental, Social, Governance).
Advantage competitive
Companies participating in the CDP programme can strengthen their corporate reputation by demonstrating their commitment to sustainability. In addition, they can meet the ever-increasing market and stakeholder demands for environmental transparency.
Improving risk management
By completing CDP questionnaires, companies are encouraged to understand and accurately identify possible risks and opportunities related to CDP issues (emissions, water, deforestation). This survey work enables companies to develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
Which organisations can obtain a CDP rating?
The CDP ESG rating is primarily aimed at companies, especially large companies and suppliers, but also to local and governmental authorities (Cities, States and Regions Programme).
Any company can participate in CDP reporting and improve their CDP ESG rating implementing strategic initiatives. Ollum accompanies you on this journey, supporting you every step of the way with a clear and structured approach consisting of four main steps:
1. Data collection
At this stage, we identify the information required for compilation of the CDP questionnaire a seconda of programme(s): climate, water, deforestation, supply chain, cities and regions. We provide you with a detailed checklist and we collaborate with your team to collect and organise the necessary data.
2. Eligibility Assessment
Once all the data has been collected, analysing the documentation to verify that the CDP requirements are met and assess strengths and areas for improvement.
3. CDP score improvement (optional)
If necessary, we support you in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to improve your environmental performance and, consequently, your score. We then proceed to complete the questionnaire, ensuring that the information is presented clearly and in accordance with CDP guidelines.
4. Completing and sending the questionnaire
We conclude the process by filling in the questionnaire in the format required by CDP within the deadlines, and proceed with the submission. The data will then be independently reviewed by CDP analysts who will proceed to publish the report and the CDP score (CDP rating).
