TÜV AUSTRIA is notified for the following machines and products:
1. The following types of single-blade and multi-blade circular saws for processing wood and materials with similar physical properties, or for processing meat and substances with similar physical properties:
1.1. Sawing machines with a saw blade that remains stationary during operation, with a fixed worktable or workpiece holder, with the workpiece fed by hand or by a removable feed mechanism;
1.2. Sawing machines with a stationary saw blade during operation, a manually operated pendulum block or carriage;
1.3. Sawing machines with a stationary saw blade during operation, a built-in mechanical feed mechanism for the workpiece, and manual loading and/or unloading;
1.4. Sawing machines with a saw blade that moves during operation, with a built-in mechanical feed mechanism for the saw blade and manual loading and/or unloading.
2. Planing machines with manual feed for woodworking.
3. Planing machines for single-sided machining of wood, with a built-in mechanical feed mechanism and manual loading and/or unloading.
4. The following types of band saws with manual loading and/or unloading for machining wood and materials with similar physical properties, or meat and substances with similar physical properties:
4.1. Sawing machines with a saw blade that remains stationary during operation and a stationary or reciprocating worktable or workpiece holder;
4.2. Sawing machines whose saw blade is mounted on a reciprocating carriage.
5. Combinations of the machines referred to in items 1 through 4 and in item 7 for the working of wood and materials with similar physical properties.
6. Multi-spindle tenoning machines with manual feed for woodworking.
7. Vertical table milling machines with manual feed for the working of wood and materials with similar physical properties.
9. Presses, including bending presses, for the cold working of metal with manual loading and/or unloading, whose moving parts during operation may have a stroke exceeding 6 mm and a speed exceeding 30 mm/s.
10. Plastic injection molding and compression molding machines with manual loading or unloading.
11. Rubber injection molding and compression molding machines with manual loading or unloading.
13. Municipal waste collection trucks for manual loading with a compaction device.
16. Vehicle lifts.
17. Machines for lifting persons or persons and goods where there is a risk of falling from a height of more than 3 m.
19. Protective devices for person detection.
21. Logic units for safety functions.
22. Roll-over protective structures (ROPS).
23. Falling Object Protective Structures (FOPS).

CE Conformity Assessments
TÜV AUSTRIA conducts CE conformity assessments for machinery and products covered by the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
CE conformity assessments determine whether the safety objectives of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC are met.
- Complete CE conformity assessment in accordance with the Machinery Directive
- Review of technical documentation in accordance with Annex VII
- Review or facilitation of a risk assessment in accordance with Annex I
- Review or evaluation of a machine’s safety-related control system
- Review of the operating instructions in accordance with Annex I
