Cybersecurity Incident During AI Evaluation Highlights the Importance of Independent AI Assurance

The recently disclosed cybersecurity incident that occurred during testing of an unreleased OpenAI model vividly illustrates how the challenges of dealing with agentic AI systems are evolving. The incident did not center solely on the AI model itself, but rather on the interplay between the model, tools, permissions, and technical infrastructure.
