Keynote Address by Ivan Huang, Managing Director of TÜV AUSTRIA Shanghai, at the 2026 Annual Meeting of China National Technical Committee on Machinery Safety.
TÜV AUSTRIA Shanghai (cn.tuvaustria.com) managing director Ivan Huang, and members of both the National Technical Committee on Machinery Safety and the Technical Committee on Functional Safety, keynoted the 2026 Annual Meeting of the China National Technical Committee on Machinery Safety (SAC/TC208) with “Cybersecurity: The New Frontier of Machinery Safety”.
Ivan Huang addressed the urgent industry context surrounding the forthcoming mandatory enforcement of the EU Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, which takes effect on 20 January 2027. The keynote provided a comprehensive analysis of the regulatory requirements, technical standards, and implementation pathways for the deep integration of machinery safety, functional safety, and cybersecurity.

In his keynote, Ivan Huang turned to the particular needs of the Chinese manufacturing sector against the backdrop of TÜV AUSTRIA’s full spectrum of services encompassing machinery safety, functional safety, and cybersecurity:
