Girls’ Day 2026 at TÜV AUSTRIA

10.06.2026

On Girls’ Day 2026, TÜV AUSTRIA opened its doors at its Brunn am Gebirge site to give girls exciting insights into technical careers. Together with this year’s partner school, MS Guntramsdorf, 16 female students from the third grade classes, as well as several daughters of TÜV AUSTRIA employees, took part in this diverse and engaging event.

Girls’ Day aims to introduce girls to careers in science, technology, engineering, and related fields, while demonstrating how varied, innovative, and creative work in technology can be. Through hands-on activities and direct interaction with experts, the initiative helps break down barriers and sparks interest in technical professions.

Interactive Workshops

The workshops were led by dedicated female employees from TÜV AUSTRIA’s Research, Development & Innovation (RDI) team. In addition to sharing their expertise, they served as inspiring role models, demonstrating potential career paths in technical fields.

The day featured a range of practical, interactive workshops that encouraged the students to actively participate:

  • Soldering (Hands-On Hardware Experience)
In this workshop, the girls demonstrated their manual skills by soldering small keychain-sized gadgets. Along the way, they gained basic insights into electronics and learned how to safely handle tools and electronic components.
  • Ideation (Creativity and Problem Solving)
During the ideation workshop, participants developed their own ideas for improving their school environment. Together, they identified challenges and worked on creative solutions, providing valuable insights into innovation processes while strengthening teamwork skills.
  • Vibe Coding (Programming with AI)
In the Vibe Coding workshop, the girls used artificial intelligence to program and customize the classic game Snake. This provided them with a modern introduction to coding and demonstrated how AI can be used creatively in software development.

Beyond Girls’ Day

The event also inspired a further joint initiative. Eight of the participants took the opportunity to ask for sponsorship for this year’s Women’s Run. We were delighted to support them and are proud that all of the girls successfully crossed the finish line.

We would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this day a success and wish the students all the best for their future academic and professional careers.
