ASME audit: TÜV AUSTRIA was successfully audited as an AIA (Authorized Inspection Agency).
This year the time had come again and TÜV AUSTRIA applied for a second time for the renewal of its accreditation as an inspection body that carries out inspections and product certifications in accordance with the rules of the American ASME Code. The audit team consisting of Mathew Burke (ASME) and Raju Cunkari (National Board) arrived in Vienna at the end of April.
After three challenging days of auditing, we are delighted with the extremely positive result: the audit team will send a report with no deviations to the responsible ASME Committee with the recommendation to extend the accreditation certificate for a further three years.
Special thanks are due to our ASME team, which consisted of Martin Schwarz (Head of CC Pressure Equipment), Janos Kaponyi (AIS) and Murat Erdogan (AI), as well as the QM team of Gerhard Andre and Alexander Egger.
TÜV AUSTRIA is one of only 25 inspection bodies worldwide accredited by ASME, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, to carry out inspections and product certifications in accordance with the rules of the American ASME Code. ASME certification enables manufacturers to market their products worldwide and opens the door to international customers.
