Planning and renovation of elevated tanks

The correct dimensioning and selection of materials for elevated tanks has a decisive influence on the quality of our drinking water. In order to be able to comply with the requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance (valid in Austria) in the long term, it is often necessary to renovate or rebuild an elevated tank.

Influences arise from long-term changes in material qualities, interactions between the tank wall and the medium, and ongoing operation, cleaning, and maintenance. Leaks, long dwell times with insufficient mixing, and reactions between the atmosphere, tank walls, and water are often factors that lead to contamination and resulting complaints.
