Solution: Pressure Ventilation System
Pressure Ventilation System (PVS)
Information
A pressurized ventilation system is installed in accordance with the directive TRVB 112 (Austria). In this system, positive pressure is generated—usually in the stairwell—to prevent smoke from entering the stairwell when a door is opened, for example, from an apartment.
The system is designed—the calculations are submitted to the “accepting authority”—and during the acceptance inspection, it is verified whether all permitted pressures for opening the door into the stairwell are maintained. There are various system configurations that must be taken into account during the planning phase.
