RecyClass – Recyclability Certification RecyClass is an audit-based third-party certification scheme assessing the recyclability of plastic packaging across the EU27+3 market. RecyClass certification evaluates packaging compatibility with the full waste management chain (collection, sorting, recycling, and reuse of recycled material), based on the RecyClass Design for Recycling Guidelines. The certification requires a product assessment, with client samples submitted to TÜV AUSTRIA facilities for in-house testing, complemented by accredited laboratory testing where required. TÜV AUSTRIA delivers the scheme through two evaluation pathways: Letter of Compatibility for semi-finished packaging (classes A–C), intended for B2B communication. Recyclability Certification for final plastic packaging, assessing effective recyclability within the collection, sorting, and recycling infrastructure of a specific geographical area, allowing use of the RecyClass mark on packaging to inform consumers about recyclability in their region. RecyClass – Recyclability Certification

RecyClass is an audit-based third-party certification scheme assessing the recyclability of plastic packaging across the EU27+3 market.
