Leading AI providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic make it clear: trust in artificial intelligence does not arise solely from performance. As a result, safety, transparency, and traceability are increasingly becoming the focus of companies and organizations.
The discussion surrounding artificial intelligence is increasingly shifting from pure performance to trust, safety, and independent verifiability. Recent statements from OpenAI and Anthropic show that AI governance, safety, and independent evaluation are becoming central prerequisites for the responsible use of AI.
While OpenAI highlights the challenges surrounding AI safety and alignment as strategic success factors, Anthropic is calling for stronger external evaluation of high-performance AI systems through the concept of independent “embedded evaluators.” The message is clear: trust in AI must not be based solely on the statements of its developers.
