The VOC Plant Regulation (VAV), Federal Law Gazette II No. 301/2002, as amended, contains emission limits, monitoring obligations, reporting obligations, etc. for a number of industries and activities in which solvents are used. It serves as the Austrian implementation of the VOC Directive and came into force for new installations on September 1, 2002, with transition periods provided for existing installations.

Which companies must have a solvent balance sheet drawn up?

Plants with a solvent consumption of up to 500 kg per year (pure solvents and solvents as components of paints, varnishes, adhesives, etc.) are not covered by the regulation, with the exception of dry cleaning plants, which are subject to the regulation regardless of solvent consumption.
