The Somali Bureau of Standards (SOBS) authorizes TÜV AUSTRIA to provide Verification of Conformity (VOC) services and issue Certificates of Conformity (CoC).
TÜV AUSTRIA is pleased to share another significant achievement in the independent, international group´s continued expansion across the African continent. TÜV AUSTRIA has officially signed an agreement with the Somali Bureau of Standards (SOBS), authorizing TÜV AUSTRIA to provide Verification of Conformity (VOC) services and issue Certificates of Conformity (CoC) for products and shipments exported to Somalia from around the world.
Supporting Efficient Trade Through Compliance Verification
Verification of Conformity (VOC) programs help ensure that imported products comply with applicable national standards and regulatory requirements before shipment. By obtaining a Certificate of Conformity (CoC), exporters can facilitate customs clearance, reduce delays at ports, and demonstrate compliance with safety, quality, and performance requirements.
Exporters supplying products to Somalia can now benefit from TÜV AUSTRIA’s global inspection and testing network, helping them meet import requirements efficiently while minimizing trade disruptions.
The program covers a broad range of regulated consumer, industrial, and electrical products subject to Somali import requirements.
