Welding test
Personnel involved in the production of permanent material joints—including welders and brazers—must hold a certification from a recognized independent testing body or a Notified Body to perform work on pressure equipment of Category II or higher.
To obtain such certification, examinations are conducted in accordance with harmonized standards, such as the ÖNORM EN ISO 9606 series for the certification of welders or EN ISO 13085 for the certification of solderers, or equivalent examinations.
All necessary destructive and non-destructive tests on the test specimens can be performed at the accredited TÜV AUSTRIA testing laboratory.
Welding and soldering certificates are issued in cooperation with the accredited personnel certification body TÜV AUSTRIA CERT GMBH.
