In times of multiple crises, it is natural to be cautious, perhaps even pessimistic. In Austria in particular, people tend to see the glass as half empty rather than half full. However, if governments, companies and private individuals are pessimistic, there will be no more investment, neither in infrastructure, industrial plants nor private consumption. The inevitable consequence is that pessimism then becomes reality and there is a lack of impetus for economic recovery. This is precisely why I see it as our duty to be optimistic and actively shape our future. In addition to optimism, this also requires courage and determination.
We at TÜV AUSTRIA will therefore continue to invest in the coming year, both in new employees and in our technical infrastructure, new technologies and also in the further growth of the group of companies. We will be happy to make our contribution to ensuring that things pick up again in Austria.
It is precisely this level of optimism, courage and determination that I wish us all in the coming year.
