Shanghai – An international TÜV AUSTRIA delegation, led by CEO Dr. Stefan Haas, met with the Shanghai Municipal Government. Haas held talks with the Honorable Jie Chen, Vice Mayor of Shanghai. New technologies development, free trade of goods, and sustainability were at the heart of their in-depth exchanges.

TÜV AUSTRIA´s CEO outlined the group´s vision and mission, technological innovation, operations, and development in China. As head of an independent, international testing, inspection and certification solution provider operating in 35 countries, Stefan Haas emphasized TÜV AUSTRIA’s strong commitment to the Chinese market, highlighting Shanghai’s role as TÜV AUSTRIA China headquarters and a critical strategic hub.
Dr. Haas noted TÜV AUSTRIA’s commitment to facilitating innovative technologies, free trade, and sustainability, With the rapid growth of emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, operation technology, and integrated circuits, alongside growing demands for free trade, and sustainability, TÜV AUSTRIA plans to further expand its operations and strategic presence in China.
The Honorable Vice Mayor Jie Chen commended TÜV AUSTRIA Group for its contributions to Shanghai’s economic and social development. Chen stated that the Shanghai municipal government was fully committed to advancing safety, security, and quality.
