Open Innovation
We explicitly pursue an open innovation approach: We complement our own expertise with the know-how of our partners from research and science and invest specifically in emerging business startups.
The TÜV AUSTRIA Group regularly and intensively discusses its innovation strategy with leading figures from industry, research and science in the formats “Open Innovation Day” and “Innovation Advisory Board”.
Open Innovation Day
In the fall of 2023, the Open Innovation Day will take place for the first time: This event will bring together responsible persons for research & development and/or innovation of key Austrian companies from industry and infrastructure, representatives of universities and research institutions as well as stakeholders of TÜV AUSTRIA.
The exclusive group of participants meets to exchange ideas, discuss and network: Current challenges for innovators are addressed in an open innovation approach and possible solutions are explored together.
Innovation advisory board
Between 2017 and 2022, high-ranking representatives from companies and universities met once a year in the Innovation Advisory Board to contribute their expertise as innovation and technology leaders. This intensive exchange ensured that TÜV AUSTRIA’s future-oriented focus corresponds to actual needs and challenges.

The TÜV AUSTRIA Group actively promotes the Open Innovation approach and makes important findings from the Innovation Advisory Board publicly available. This provides exciting insights into proven organizational and leadership concepts of leading innovation and technology companies. These valuable insights serve as a source of inspiration for other companies to drive innovation and set new standards.
