TÜV AUSTRIA Italia has taken over railroad certification specialist ISARail SpA.
ISARail SpA has been operating since 2000 as a private and independent body for safety-related issues and conformity assessments for railroad systems. Based in Nola, not far from Naples, the company is a Notified Body (NoBo) accredited by Accredia, the Italian accreditation body, and a Notified Body (DeBo) recognized by Italy in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/797 on the interoperability of the rail system of the European Union.
The new member of the TÜV AUSTRIA Group carries out conformity assessments of the trans-European high-speed and conventional rail system with the European Union standards represented by the Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI)..
ISARail also acts as an independent assessment body for evaluating the suitability and application of risk management procedures and their results in the rail sector (AsBo), and as a certification body for maintenance organizations in the railroad sector (CB-ECM).
The extensive technical know-how and experience of ISARail’s employees enables customers in the transport sector to obtain 360° solutions in the fields of verification, testing, inspection, approval, control and certification of materials, projects, processes, technologies, equipment and systems in the transport sector.
The renowned railroad specialist has recently expanded its activities to include road and highway infrastructure as well as cable car systems.
