Description of the series standard ISO 9241
The key to the ergonomics of human-system interaction according to ISO 9241 is Human-Centered Design (HCD), which refers to usability, accessibility, user experience and prevention of harm from use, these four elements are called Human-Centered Quality (HCQ). The ISO 9241 series standard provides clear definitions, criteria and methodology for HCQ. ISO 9241-11 specifically addresses user-friendliness in a separate document, as it is an important quality criterion for systems, products and services. In addition, ISO 9241-210 and -220 provide a management module and framework for HCD, called the Human Centered Process (HCP), to introduce, evaluate and execute HCD in organizations in different situations and for different purposes.
The ISO 9241 series standards improve not only the quality of the system, product and service, but also the technical and management skills of the product and reference teams and even the impact and quality of management in an organization.
