Like other commercial enterprises, service stations are subject to the inspection requirement under § 82b of the Trade, Commerce and Industry Regulation Act (Gewerbeordnung).
Based on the official approval notices, the Water Act (§ 134 WRG) and other safety and environmental regulations, the operation of a filling station is associated with a large number of legal and official inspection obligations.
